9 August 2010 - Bangkok Bank has launched a 'Debit Purchasing card' as a convenient way for Hua Seng Heng gold-shop customers to pay for their gold purchases instead of using cash. The card will reduce the risks of carrying large amounts of cash to invest or to buy cashier’s cheques, and also reduce worries about price changes in the gold market which require gold buyers to reserve cash in advance for their gold purchases. Reflecting Bangkok Bank’s focus on customer security, cardholders will be able to use their cards only at EDC payment machines in Hua Seng Heng gold shops. Cardholders will also be requested to enter a personal PIN and sign sales slips for all purchases.
