Bangkok Bank was the first bank in Thailand to open an overseas branch, in Hong Kong in June 1954. In the subsequent 40 years the Bank built up an extensive network of contacts in the Asia Pacific region.

The Bank now has 15 overseas branches, one representative office and two wholly owned subsidiary. These are located in the United States, England, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam and the Philippines.
