All you need to do is:
- Visit your nearest Post offices and Japan Post bank branches.
- Fill out transfer details including the amount to be transferred, the recipient’s name and account number, and the name of the bank in Thailand.*
- State the purpose of the funds transfer (e.g. personal expenses, donation, goods payment).
- Provide identification such as a passport or an alien identification card.
- Pay the transfer fund fee in Yen.
*You can transfer funds from Post offices and Japan Post bank branches to any Thai bank account. However, you will pay a higher fee of Bt 350 per transaction when sending to other banks and the money will take five working-days to be paid into the recipient’s account.
