• Bank of the Year 2008 by Money and Banking magazine

Bangkok Bank was chosen as the 'Bank of the Year 2008' by Money and Banking magazine. The magazine reviewed the performance of Thai financial institutions from 1 January - 31 December 2007. In addition to its strong financial performance, the judges also praised Bangkok Bank for its outstanding management and stability.

The Asian Banker, Asia’s leading financial and banking research group, has selected Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Piya Sosothikul as the inaugural winner of 'The Asian Banker Promising Young Banker Award for Thailand 2007' and 'The Asian Banker Promising Young Banker Award for the Asia Pacific Region 2007'. Mr. Piya is the first Thai to have won both awards, which are judged on three main criteria: responsibility in supervising a core business division; outstanding management performance and holding a top management position in the organization at under 40 years of age.

Bangkok Bank has won the award for Best Trade Finance Bank - Thailand in The Asset Triple A Transaction Banking Awards 2008. The award was given to Bangkok Bank for its outstanding performance in providing customers with financial services, advice and assisting the import and export industry.

Bangkok Bank has been honored with the award of 'Trusted Brand 2008' by Reader's Digest magazine. Bangkok Bank is the brand in the banking category which has been given the award for five consecutive years by Reader’s Digest. The award criteria are based on six factors including reliability, image credibility, quality, value, understanding of customers’ expectations and innovation.
