Success for Bangkok Bank succeeds at Money Expo 2008

12 May 2008

Bangkok Bank successfully offered special promotions to customers at Money Expo 2008. With the bank’s theme 'Financial Fitness', the most popular products at this year’s fair were once again Bualuang Home Loan and SME loans.

Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Ruchanee Nopmuang revealed that the bank’s exhibition at Money Expo 2008 during the past weekend was another successful fair for the bank. The bank’s theme at the expo, 'Financial Fitness', the special interest rates, fee waiver, gifts, and activities, were all well received by the people attending the fair.

"Customers who visited our booth either made inquiries or applied for products and services which they already had a good understanding of by previously studying the details before attending the fair. They contacted us at the booth to obtain more information and ask about special benefits on offer during the fair. Most of them intended to apply for products or services at the fair, and this resulted in a satisfactory volume of transactions at our booths."

Mrs. Ruchanee said the most popular product at the fair remained Bualuang Home Loan which offered an interest rate of 0.99 percent for the first six months, 1.99 percent for a further six months, and discounts of 0.25-0.75 percent from the MLR depending on the loan amount and the remaining years. For the first three years, these interest rate options offer the lowest average rate at the fair. The waiver of fees was also another factor that attracted customers to register for the loan and as a result the bank received applications for home loans to a total value of Baht 18 billion. The number of SME customers who visited the bank’s booth and asked for advice was also higher than what they expected and they registered for the loans of more than Baht 2 billion. Bancassurance, mutual funds, and debentures which are another form of long-term savings with tax benefits also received strong interests from the customers.

"Bangkok Bank’s booths were designed to reflect the theme for this year and space was arranged in a way that enabled our staff to sufficiently handle the large number of customers coming in to make an inquiry or apply for our products and services. The activities we organized at the booths also focused on creating value for customers and they satisfied the customers very well. The response we received was outstanding, we met our target and we managed to make the fair worthwhile for our customers who look forward to the event every year. Even though the fair is over we will continue to create various promotional activities to offer products and services to our customers," she said.
