Bangkok Bank in conjunction with Visa International has launched a special promotion with Baht 800 worth of benefits and privileges for people who sign up for a Blue Wave credit card, The promotion includes a BTS bonus of Baht 300 and benefits worth Baht 500 at selected merchants. Existing Blue Wave cardholders can also benefit from the promotion receiving discounts and privileges of up to Baht 85 per transaction when making contactless payWave transactions at any of five participating merchants. This promotion runs until September 30, 2008.

Bangkok Bank Credit Card Division Manager Shoke Na Ranong said the promotion is part of Bangkok Bank’s program to continually reward and offer benefits to its customers.

"The merchants participating in the promotion are Au Bon Pain, McDonald’s, SF Cinemas, Nai-In and Villa Market. A new cardholder will receive a welcome voucher pack valued at more than 500Bt which can be redeemed for products and services from the participating merchants when they apply for a Blue Wave credit card before September 30, 2008. The pack consists of a voucher for a free Ice Cocao valued at Baht 75 from Au Bon Pain, a voucher for a free McFish valued at Baht 92 from McDonald’s, a free movie ticket valued at Baht 140 at SF Cinemas, a Baht 100 voucher for Nai-In and a Baht 100 voucher for Villa Market. The coupons in the welcome voucher pack are valid until November 30, 2008. The bank will also waive the Baht 200 sign on fee and the Baht 600 annual fee in the first year".

In addition, cardholders who use their cards to make contactless Visa payWave payments until February 28, 2009, will receive double bonus points from the Bualuang Thank You program", Mr Shoke said.
