06 October 2008 - Bangkok Bank, in co-operation with Kasikornbank, Krung Thai Bank and Siam Commercial Bank, will receive subscriptions for up to Baht 10 billion in unsecured senior name-registered debentures of PTT Public Company Limited. The debentures comprise two tranches with the first tranche having a maturity period of five years and interest rates of up to 5.50 percent per annum, and the second tranche have a maturity of seven years and up to 6.00 percent per annum. The debentures, which have been rated ‘AAA’ by Tris Ratings, will be available for subscription from October 13-16, 2008.
30 September 2008 - Travelling on the BTS is now easier than ever with a new top-up service launched by Bangkok Bank in conjunction with BTS. The new service allows cardholders of a Be1st-BTS card, Blue Wave credit card and BTS SmartPass card to add credit to their card for SkyTrain travel using a Bangkok Bank ATM at any BTS station. The new service allows cardholders to top up their cards quick and easily.
24 September 2008 - Bangkok Bank is working with Siam Commercial Bank and TMB Bank to sell Baht 1.5 billion in debentures for leading property developer Quality Houses. Rated A- by Tris Ratings, the unsecured senior debentures have a three-year maturity period offering an interest rate of 5.25 percent per annum, and will pay interest every three months. Investors and the general public can subscribe to the debentures from 2-7 October, 2008.
15 September 2008 - The Board of Investment (BOI) in conjunction with Bangkok Bank is organizing an investment mission to take Thai entrepreneurs to Vietnam Indonesia and Laos to examine investment opportunities in industries that have synergies between Thailand and these countries, such as the produce for export, food processing, tourism industries and hospitality.
11 September 2008 - Bangkok Bank in conjunction with Visa International has launched a special promotion with Baht 800 worth of benefits and privileges for people who sign up for a Blue Wave credit card, The promotion includes a BTS bonus of Baht 300 and benefits worth Baht 500 at selected merchants. Existing Blue Wave cardholders can also benefit from the promotion receiving discounts and privileges of up to Baht 85 per transaction when making contactless payWave transactions at any of five participating merchants. This promotion runs until September 30, 2008.
