Bangkok Bank has been voted by consumers as the most trusted brand in Thailand’s financial sector for the fifth consecutive year in the Reader’s Digest’s annual Trusted Brand 2008 survey. Reader’s Digest surveys its readers each year on consumer satisfaction levels throughout Asia. The survey found that Bangkok Bank continues to provide quality and satisfaction to consumers, making it the most trusted among bank brands.

Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Ruchanee Nopmuang said the bank was proud to be named a winner in the ‘Trusted Brand 2008’ survey for the fifth consecutive year. The survey reviews brands against six criteria including reliability, credibility, quality, value, meeting consumers’ needs, and innovation.

The May 2008 edition of the Reader’s Digest outlined the factors that have led to high levels of consumer trust in Bangkok Bank, including its long standing credibility, enduring financial strength, and reliability. The bank has also managed to maintain its established customer base by employing new and innovative strategies in a highly competitive banking industry.

“The results of the Reader’s Digest survey indicate the high level of trust consumers have in Bangkok Bank’s brand. We recognize the importance of building a strong brand and our aim is to provide quality service with warmth, friendliness and understanding to meet the needs of customers and make a difference as a trusted friend,” Mrs. Ruchanee said.

The survey canvassed opinion in seven leading Asian markets including Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. Reader’s Digest conducts the Trusted Brand awards in Asia every year as a means to gauge consumer satisfaction.
