Bangkok Bank wins ‘Deal of the Year’ award for 2007 - for the fifth year in a row |

Bangkok Bank Senior Vice President Surabhan Purnagupta and executives from the bank’s Merchant Banking Division recently received the Deal of the Year 2007 award from the Thai Bond Market Association for the bank’s outstanding achievement in the distribution of the second tranche of debentures issued by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) in June 2007. The senior unsecured debentures carried maturity terms of three years, five years, and 15 years with a total value of Baht 12.5 billion. The debentures received the highest possible rating of AAA. Bangkok Bank has won the award every year for five consecutive years, the only bank to have ever done so. The awards in 2003 and 2004 were received for the sale of debentures by PTT Public Company Limited. In 2005 and 2006, the awards were received for the bank’s role as a financial advisor and selling agent for the debentures issued by DAD SPV Company Limited under a securitization plan by Dhanarak Asset Development Company Limited. |
