Our advanced electronic system enables Bangkok Bank cheques issued within the same region to be cleared and cashed straight away. 

 

A minimum fee of 20Bt per cheque is payable and 10Bt for every 10,000Bt thereafter. Contact your Relationship Manager at a Business Center for more information.

We accept cheques from any of the other banks in Thailand between 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. To ensure interbank cheques are cleared the following day you need to deposit the cheque before 2.00pm*. Interbank cheques that are presented after 2pm will be carried over to the next business day.

 

If cheques that are being deposited into your account cannot be cleared, our staff will inform you straight away. You should then liaise with the other party to resolve the issue. For cheques that are refused because of insufficient funds - a 300Bt penalty fee is charged and if no agreement can be reached it becomes a criminal offence. 

 

However, you can protect your cheques from being returned by talking to your Relationship Manager about our overdraft protection agreement or contact your nearest Business Center.
