The following explains the security technologies we employ and your role, as customers to ensure that your banking information remains secure.
- ID and Password When you register for our Bualuang iPay service, you will be given a unique identifier and will be required to select a password to use this service. The Bank knows your ID but only you will know your Password, this ensures the password remains a secret to both internal and external parties. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your banking information by not sharing your ID or password with anyone, by changing your password periodically, and by remembering to sign off from the system as soon as you are finished.
- Cookies To provide better service and a more secure website, we use "cookies" as part of our interaction between your browser and the Bangkok Bank computer systems. A "cookie" is a small text file placed on your hard drive by our web page server. These cookies are encrypted and used to maintain the secure connection between the browser and the server; they do not contain customer specific information, are one-time only and cannot be reused.
Cookies are commonly used on websites and do not harm your computer system. By configuring your preferences or options in your browser, you determine if and how a cookie will be accepted. Your browser must be configured to accept cookies in order to access our transaction websites.
- Privacy of Online Information Whenever you access or enter personal information on our website, we use 128-Bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL technology) for transferring data. This technology encrypts - or scrambles - information so it is practically impossible for anyone other than Bangkok Bank to read it. Click here for more information.
- E-mail We preserve the content of all e-mail sent to us by customers, including the e-mail address and a copy of our responses, so that we can efficiently process any subsequent questions you may have. We may occasionally contact you at your e-mail address if we think a particular Bangkok Bank service might apply to your situation.
It is important to note that regular non-encrypted Internet e-mail is not secure. We cannot be sure that you actually sent it, or that the message contents have not been seen by other parties. In the instances where Bangkok Bank Internet e-mail addresses are provided, these should be used for information inquiries of a non-sensitive and non-confidential nature.
You may contact us via our Bualuang Phone service (66 22645 5555) or 1333, Credit card customer service or at one of our branches.
See our Contact Us and our Banking Center Locator Web pages for additional information about contacting us.
- Third Parties and Consolidators Consolidation sites are Internet websites which offer the ability to collect all of your personal information on one website. For example, you may be encouraged to provide consolidation websites with your personal finance information, such as your Online ID, Access ID, PC Password or Online Password for Internet Banking.
BANGKOK BANK RECOMMENDS THAT CUSTOMERS NEVER PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION TO SUCH SITES. |
