Bangkok Life Assurance Limited was established as Siam Life Assurance Company Limited on June 1, 1951. The founders included former Prime Minister Kuang Aphaiwongse, Phya Sriwisarnwacha, Mr. Chin Sophonpanich and many other high ranking honorable gentlemen. Their vision was to provide the Thai people with financial security and a better quality of life.

 

On January 1, 1979, Siam Life Assurance Company Limited changed its legal name to Bangkok Life Assurance Limited to underscore its association with Bangkok Bank Limited, a major shareholder which provides continuous support for the company.
