Bangkok Bank began accepting loan applications from GPF members at branches nationwide (except Microbranches) from January 1, 2007.
Once your application has been approved, the borrower may draw down the loan in batches to meet tuition fee payment schedules. Repayment options include terms of up to 96 months, or eight years, but not longer than the borrower’s remaining years of tenure before mandatory retirement.
Borrowers can choose to collateralize the loans by mortgaging a property, pledging a savings or fixed deposit account, or providing a personal guarantee from an individual whose qualifications meet the loan requirements.
To be eligible to apply for an education loan, GPF members must have their regular salary payment deposited into an account at Bangkok Bank.
Setting up a salary deposit account at Bangkok Bank is easy. Simply open a savings or current account at any Bangkok Bank branch and take a copy of the first page of your new passbook to your company and ask them to change your payroll information.
Complete the application by the 15th of the month, and your salary will be deposited into your Bangkok Bank account that same month. |
