Customers are alerted to a new type of scam whereby they may be phoned by people falsely claiming to be employees of their bank in an attempt to extract their personal banking information from them. The callers claim that they transferred money into the customer’s account incorrectly and attempt to convince them to disclose personal banking information including ways to have them transfer funds to them.
