|The "Junior Achievement Company Program" (JA Company Program) is a training course for educating high-school students in Thailand and teaching them about doing business. Bangkok Bank has co-operated with Junior Achievement Thailand, a branch of a US-based non-profit organization, to develop training materials in the Thai language. Students joining the program acquire knowledge that will assist them to create and manage a business of their own to give them practical experience in running a business amidst fair and regulated competition.
In 2015, the second year of the project, the number of participating schools increased to 20, up from 15 in 2014, with 844 students taking part. The Bank encouraged executives and staff to volunteer to teach the students during office hours. There were 32 volunteer trainers contributing 247.5 working hours to the project last year.
