Issuing Shipping Guarantee and Endorsing Delivery Order
If the Bank has the right to the goods, we can guarantee the shipping and endorse a document for air freight. This means you can use a shipping guarantee /delivery order to pick up your imported goods before the original documents arrive and save on time and storage fees.
To ensure your application will be processed quickly, please prepare all required documents as follows:
- Copy of invoice
- Copy of Bill of Lading/Air Waybill
- Letter of Indemnity/Letter of Guarantee for shipping company or airline, or Delivery Order form, signed by the authorized person on behalf of the importer
- Trust Receipt form signed by the authorized person on behalf of the importer
Importers must be responsible for any discrepancies in the documents delivered to the Bank such as the Bill of Lading or Air Waybill.

Swiftly take possession of your imported goods as soon as they arrive by submitting a Trust Receipt to Bangkok Bank along with a goods declaration. We will advance payment for the goods either in Thai baht or in a foreign currency, with a repayment term of up to 180 days.

Forward Contract
Confidently import goods without needing to worry about currency fluctuations. You can buy foreign currencies in advance by making a forward contract with Bangkok Bank and specifying the amount, currency and exchange rate which you will receive on the agreed date. Forward contracts can help you avoid foreign exchange risk and enable you to accurately calculate your true business costs on the transaction date.
Customers must provide documents to the Bank that indicate their future foreign currency obligations when they reserve the forward contract.

Advice to transfer funds to Myanmar via SWIFT
From June 1, 2020 onwards, the Central Bank of Myanmar requires Bangkok Bank’s customers to indicate the ITRS Code (International Transactions Reporting System Code) for International Fund Transfer transactions to Myanmar. Therefore, you are advised to obtain an ITRS Code from your recipient in Myanmar and provide the code in the “Application for Outward Remittance” form to enable Bangkok Bank to include the ITRS Code in the SWIFT message to the beneficiary bank in Myanmar with the purpose of the payment to the Central Bank of Myanmar. If you do not indicate the ITRS Code, or provide the wrong ITRS Code, it may cause a delay in the payment to your recipient, and you may have to pay an additional charge if the bank in Myanmar applies a charge for having to send an inquiry about the ITRS Code to Bangkok Bank.
Example: How to indicate the ITRS Code in an Application for Outward Remittance
If you wish to transfer funds for goods to a recipient in Myanmar, indicate ITRS Code 1100

Outward Fund Transfer
When you transfer funds overseas, you must have the following information:
- The recipient’s account name, account number and address
- Name and address of the beneficiary’s bank
- SWIFT address of the beneficiary’s bank
- IBAN (for funds transfers to banks in Europe)
