Bangkok Bank is ready for the PTTOR initial public offering (IPO) from January 24, 2021 - noon of February 2, 2021 via “Securities Subscription”, the newest feature of Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking. This feature allows customers to subscribe to securities conveniently at home and wholly fulfills the digital experience of financial transactions and investment. In order to meet the needs of all target groups, customers can also visit physical touchpoints at any open Bangkok Bank branch.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Thaweelap Rittapirom said that Bangkok Bank will offer the IPO of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited or ‘OR’ from January 24, 2021 - February 2, 2021 (noon). The offering price is 18.00 baht per share with a minimum subscription of 300 shares (equivalent to 5,400 baht) with subsequent multiples of 100 shares and no maximum subscription. The Bank will open two channels for subscription: via the new "Securities Subscription" feature of Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking, and through Bangkok Bank branches nationwide.
“In order to facilitate Bangkok Bank customers and in line with the government asking for cooperation on social distancing, the Bank as a trusted partner and reliable friend that understands customers’ needs and is ready to support customers in any situation introduced the "Securities Subscription" feature on Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking for the newly-issued OR, which will have its IPO in a couple of days, to provide convenience to the Bank’s retail investors so they can subscribe from home and do not miss the opportunity to own the OR stocks everyone is waiting for. At the same time, it also bolsters the digital experience of using Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking to be a more comprehensive service, with both investment and various financial transactions in one place.”
Mr. Thaweelap added that aside from providing the convenience of buying OR shares via Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking, the Bank also opened subscription services for OR shares at any Bangkok Bank branch as another touchpoint to completely cover all target groups.
