1Day surgery refers to a major surgery, or a surgical procedure performed instead of a major surgery, or the use of specialized treatment equipment that can replace a major surgery, that does not require an overnight hospital stay.

2For AIA H&S Extra (New Standard), in the case of no claims from the in-patient and out-patient benefits, OPD general benefit or death benefit during the policy year (without discontinuation of renewal during the year), as well as in the case of the Insured paying the premium within the grace period. As for monthly payment, the payments must be up to 3 consecutive months. Company shall pay the special cash back benefit 90 days after each policy anniversary date.

3In case of death, it must be during the coverage of AIA H&S Extra (New Standard) rider.

4An eligible portion of health insurance premium is tax-deductible up to 25,000 baht, according to the Notification of the Director-General of the Revenue Department on Income Tax (No. 383). When combined with life insurance premiums this must not exceed 100,000 baht in total.

Coverage and Benefits
Waiting Period of AIA H&S Extra (New Standard) Rider
The Company shall not pay any benefits under the following circumstances:
  1. Any illnesses occurring within 30 days following the date on which this rider is issued or reinstated, whichever is later or
  2. Any of the following illnesses occurring within 120 days following the date on which this rider is issued or reinstated, whichever is later:
    • All types pf Hernia
    • Pterygium or Cataract
    • Tonsillectomy or Adenoidectomy
    • Endometriosis

Pre-existing Conditions

The Company shall not pay any benefit under this rider for chronic disease, injury or illness (including any complication arising therefrom) that is not cured before the contract effective date except:
  1. If the Insured has informed the Company and the Company agreed to underwrite the risk without any exclusion
  2. Chronic disease, injury or illness (including complication) which has not shown any symptom and has never been examined or diagnosed by physician or the Insured has never visited or consulted with the physician within 5 years before this rider became effective for the first time and within 3 years after this rider became effective for the first time
Some Exclusions of AIA H&S Extra (New Standard) Rider
  1. Conditions resulting from congenital disorders or incomplete organ forming system in the body, or genetic disorders or physical development abnormalities, unless this rider has been effective for one year or more and the symptom occurs after the Insured is fully 16 years old
  2. Pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, delivering a child, complications of pregnancy, infertility issues (including investigation and treatment), sterilization or birth control except choriocarcinoma
  3. Visual sight checkups, LASIK treatment, expenses on apparatus applicable for better visual sight or visual sight malfunction
  4. Treatment or rehabilitation on narcotics, cigarettes, alcoholic drinks or and substances affecting mental conditions
  5. Any treatments that are not modern western medicine including alternative medicine
Requirements

  • Payment mode: Annually / Semi-annually / Quarterly / Monthly

7AIA H&S Extra (New Standard) is a renewable one-year rider, where the Insured is able to renew the rider until age 85 or expiry of basic plan, whichever is earlier. Underwriting and policy renewal are subject to the Company’s conditions.

A rider is a one-year and renewable insurance contract. The Company reserves the right to adjust the premium rate during the policy year due to several factors such as age, occupation and claim payment experience, etc. Riders that cover medical expenses may include other factors such as medical inflation and medical expenses which must be approved by the Insurance Commissioner.
