1In the case that there is no record of claims on inpatient, outpatient or death benefit in the current policy year (no lapse and cancellation between policy years) and the premium payment for the next instalment has been made within the grace period. If the premium payment is made on a monthly basis, the payment must have been made for at least 3 installments. The Company shall pay special cash back to the Insured after the period of 90 days from the anniversary date of that policy year.

2In the event the Insured’s death occurs while the coverage of AIA H&S Extra Rider is in force.

3The basic premium is tax-deductible up to 100,000 baht, according to the Notification of the Director-General of the Revenue Department on Income Tax (No. 172). Health insurance premiums paid after January 1, 2020 (if any) are also tax-deductible, up to 25,000 baht. When combined with life insurance premiums this must not exceed 100,000 baht in total.

Note: Benefits under items 1.3 and 1.4 are paid as charged but not exceeding the percentage rate according to the schedule of surgery/anesthesia fees.

The Company will pay for necessary and reasonable medical expenses incurred from treatment that is medically required and in accordance with the standards of medical practice performed by a certified medical practitioner in a sanatorium authorized to operate ‘hospital’ business according to the law on sanatoriums of the respective territory, except kidney dialysis for which treatment can be obtained at a legally certified dialysis center.

Waiting Period
  • Any illnesses occurring within 30 days following the date on which this contract is issued or reinstated, whichever is later.
  • The following illnesses occurring within 120 days following the date on which this contract is issued or reinstated, whichever is later:
    • Hernia
    • Pterygium or Cataract
    • Tonsillectomy or Adenoidectomy
    • Endometriosis
Some Exclusions of AIA H&S Extra Rider
  1. Injuries suffered by the Insured at the time of committing a serious offence or while the Insured is arrested or avoiding arrest.
  2. The Insured suffers from a chronic disease, illness, or any injury that is not treated before the contract’s effective date or, before the effective date of the latest reinstatement, whichever is later.
  3. General health check-up
  4. The Insured is under surgical or other treatment for the purposes of cosmetic, skincare, acne, melasma, freckle, dandruff, hair loss or weight loss, or an optional surgery; however, the cosmetic surgery to address wounds suffered from an accident under the policy contract will be covered.
  5. Pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, child delivery, obstetric complications, solutions to infertility problems (including investigations and treatments), sterilization, and contraception

  • Insurable age: 1 month - 70 years
  • Coverage period: Until the age of 80 or until the basic plan has expired
  • Premium payment period: Until the age of 80 or until the basic plan has expired
  • Maximum sum assured per an insured person for a health insurance rider (according to the consideration criteria of AIA Company Limited): 25,000 baht per an insured person for aged 6 - 70 years and 5,000 baht for aged 1 month - 5 years (depending on the total amount of sum assured per one insured person)
  • Payment mode: Annually / Semi-annually / Quarterly / Monthly
