Opening New Account

• Available for individual customers aged between 15-69 years old, with Thai nationality and permanent residence in Thailand.
• Limited to one account/person for Bualuang Extra Savings Account or Bualuang Extra Digital Account. Joint accounts are not permitted.
• Minimum required initial deposit is 2,000 baht.
• Customers should be in good health, have no physical impairment, disability, critical illness or chronic disease when they open the account and throughout the period that they hold the account.
• This product is not available for the following occupations: messenger, fireman, soldier, police, motorcycle taxi, labourer, miner, construction worker, disaster relief volunteer and fisherman.

Product Highlights

• The coverage for personal accident insurance is 20 times of the account balance on the day before the accident. The maximum sum insured is 10 million baht per person.

• Financial transactions can be easily made via Bangkok Bank branches, ATM, CDM, Bualuang Phone, Bualuang mBanking, Bualuang iBanking or Standing Order Service.

Privileges of Personal Accident Insurance

• Receive coverage of personal accident insurance as specified in Or.Bor.2 upon account opening. This covers accidental loss of life, dismemberment, loss of sight, loss of hearing, loss of speech or total permanent disability from an accident, but excludes payment for any medical expenses, murder or assault, accidents while driving or traveling on a motorcycle, or other accidents as specified in the exclusions given in the Insuring Agreement.
• The coverage for personal accident insurance is 20 times the account balance on the day before the accident. The maximum sum insured is 10 million baht per person.
• The coverage is immediately cancelled when the account is closed, or the account owner’s age reaches 70 years old, or the account owner has already made the insurance claim and received the payment, or the personal accident insurance is terminated by Bangkok Insurance PCL.
• Personal accident insurance is provided by Bangkok Insurance Public Company Limited.

Deposit Protection

From August 11, 2021 Thai Baht Deposits are protected under the Deposit Protection Agency Act up to a maximum of one million baht per one depositor per financial institution.
