You will need to bring your mobile phone when registering at the branch because you will be sent an OTP via SMS for verification.
Only individual accounts (savings/current accounts) in Thai baht can be used to register for PromptPay. Joint and FCD accounts cannot be used to register for PromptPay.
If registering for PromptPay with your Thai Citizen ID, you will only be able to register with one account (across all banks). You can register only one Citizen ID to your PromptPay account.
If registering for PromptPay with your mobile phone number, you will only be able to register with one account (across all banks). You can register up to three mobile phone numbers to your PromptPay account.
Thai ID or mobile numbers can only be registered with another account if the previous registration has already been cancelled.
There is no fee for registration, which is voluntary.
For convenience, you can amend or cancel your registration at any time and there is no closing date for registration.
