Securities Services

1. What are the Securities Services?
The Securities Services page is a place where customers wishing to apply for a Securities Trading Account can do so by completing an application online via Bualuang iBanking. Bangkok Bank, as an introducing agent, will pass the information onto Bualuang Securities PCL for approval and opening of a Securities Trading Account.

2. How do I apply for Securities Trading Account?
    1) At the Investments page, select “Securities Services”.

    2) Read the Disclaimer for the Securities Services and click “Accept and Proceed to Apply”.

    3) The Bualuang Securities Trading Account application page will be displayed with certain of your personal information pre-filled. Please fill in your Contact Phone Number and Mobile Phone Number followed by updating your Email Address and Address.

    4) Select Account for e-Dividend. E-Dividend is a service which means that any dividends paid to you will be credited directly into the account you nominate, which speeds up the transfer and eliminates handling cheques.

    5) Select Account for Direct Debit, then read through the Terms and Conditions Governing Direct Debit Service and acknowledge those terms and conditions. The Direct Debit service authorizes Bualuang Securities to debit your nominated account if funds are required to pay for securities that you have bought.

    6) Click “Next” to apply for a Bualuang Securities Trading Account or click “Cancel” to stop your Bualuang Securities Trading Account application.

    7) After clicking Next, the system will display the screen reviewing the information you have filled in and send you a One Time Password (OTP) via SMS to the mobile phone number you registered with the bank (this is the mobile phone that you have registered for Bualuang iBanking, which may be different to the number that you indicated in the Securities Services page).

    8) Enter the OTP you received and click “Confirm” or click “Back” to cancel or revise your Bualuang Securities Trading Account application.

    9) After clicking “Confirm”, the screen will display the confirmation page of your Bualuang Securities Trading Account application which you can print out for reference.

3. What is a One Time Password?
The One Time Password (OTP) is a password Bangkok Bank sends to your mobile phone via SMS to confirm certain transactions or events such as registering for the Direct Debit Service. The One Time Password can be used only once and will expire 5 minutes after it has been sent to you.

4. What is the e-Dividend Service?
When dividends and/or interest payments are due, these will be paid directly to your nominated bank account (transfers will be made electronically instead of paying by cheque). Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd (TSD) will be the party making the funds transfer.

5. What is the Auto-Direct Debit Service?
Bualuang Securities will be authorized to deduct funds from your savings or current account automatically in order to fund the purchase of any securities that you buy. On the due date, Bualuang Securities will send an instruction requesting the Bank to debit the amount due from your account.

    This same account will also be used to receive funds sent from Bualuang Securities when you sell securities.

6. How can I know the status of my Securities Trading Account application?
After you complete your application for a Bualuang Securities Trading Account via Bualuang iBanking, you can check your account application status by going to the “Investments” menu and selecting “Securities Services”. The screen will show your Securities Trading Account application status:

• “Processing” means the bank has sent your application information for approval. Bualuang Securities representatives will contact you shortly to ask for additional information.
• “Active” means Bualuang Securities has already opened your Securities Trading Account.
• “Unsuccessful” means Bualuang Securities can’t open a Securities Trading Account for you.

7. How do I change my mobile phone number?
If you have recently changed your mobile phone number and have not yet advised the new number to Bualuang iBanking (by registering at any branch), please download and print an Amendment form (PDF) at http://www.bangkokbank.com/download/iBanking_amendmentform.pdf and then fill out and hand into a staff member at your nearest Bangkok Bank branch.  Please remember to bring your ID card/passport and a Savings Account passbook or Current Account Cheque Book/Cheque Order previously registered with Bualuang iBanking.  Please allow 3-5 business days for the number to be updated.

Remarks:

• The SMS Authentication Service will be locked if you submit an incorrect OTP three consecutive times. To unlock the service, please contact a Customer Service Representative at Bualuang Phone 1333 in Thailand or 66 (0) 2645 5555 if you are calling from overseas.
• The OTP will expire 5 minutes after it has been sent to your mobile phone number.
