Bangkok Bank donates 10 million baht to Thammasat University Field Hospital to help COVID-19 patients

Bangkok Bank Chairman Piti Sithi-Amnuai (center), Executive Chairman Deja Tulananda (5th from right), President Chartsiri Sophonpanich (4th from left), along with the board members and senior executives presented a 10 million baht donation to Thammasat University Hospital Director Associate Professor Pharuhat Tor-Udom (6th from left), Nursing Department Director Prisana Patumanan (2nd from left) and Head nurse of Screening and Admission Unit Sukanya Koonkiti (left) to support Thammasat University Field Hospital’s 308-bed facility for treating non-critical COVID-19 patients. The funds will also support the purchase of medical equipment, N95 masks and personal protective equipment. The field hospital has been admitting COVID-19 patients since March 25, 2020. This project is a collaboration between five teaching hospitals namely Siriraj Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital, Vajira Hospital and Thammasat University Hospital. The donation was presented on March 26, 2020 at Bangkok Bank Head Office.

This was Bangkok Bank’s second major donation to support efforts to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, after the first donation of 10 million baht to the Ramathibodi Special Fund.
