Bangkok Bank confirmed an employee of a business unit based on the 9th floor of the Bangkok Bank Head Office building on Silom road tested positive for COVID-19 on January 2, 2021. This employee traveled to their residence in Samut Sakhon on Friday, December 18, 2020. From then, the employee was asked by the Bank to self-quarantine at home for 14 days, considering the employee resided in a risky area. On December 21, 2020, a family member of the employee tested positive for COVID-19. The bank then assigned the employee to get a COVID-19 test on December 22, 2020, for which the result was negative. However, the employee later experienced a stuffy nose and loss of smell and proceeded to get a second test on January 1, 2021, for which the result on January 2, 2021 showed that the employee tested positive for COVID-19.
