Bangkok Bank donates 3,200 environmentally friendly bags and 100,000 baht to support the Thai Red Cross Society’s World Blood Donor Day 2023
A trusted partner - Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Pochanee Kongkalai, Vice Presidents, Public Relations Department Aphiwat Punnopakorn , Suwit Indrachalerm and Metropolitan Region 1 manager Ms. Nattamon Meeprawat and Assistant Vice President, Surawong branch manager Ms. Sunantini Saenkham presented 3,200 environmentally friendly bags from the Bualuang Save the Earth project, which makes bags by recycling the Bank’s old calendars and other paper, totaling 3,527 kilograms in 2022, to the National Blood Center of the Thai Red Cross Society. The bags are used to make medicine and medical supply care packages for blood donors. The Bank also donated 100,000 baht to help produce memorial T-shirts for new and current donors to mark World Blood Donor Day 2023 for the 18th consecutive year. The Bank’s executives and staff joined volunteers to facilitate blood donors at the National Blood Center of the Thai Red Cross Society, Henry Dunant Road, Bangkok.
Those interested in joining the “8 million cc for 80 years of Bangkok Bank” project can make a blood donation at the National Blood Centre of the Thai Red Cross Society or at twelve Regional Blood Centers nationwide, and at mobile blood donation units and hospital-based blood banks in each province. After the donation, just scan the QR code at your location and fill in how many cc’s of blood you donated to the project.
In addition, the Bank, in collaboration with the National Blood Center, will set up mobile blood donation units at the Silom Head Office Building and the Rama 3 Building to facilitate blood donations for executives, employees, customers and interested parties, which will be held every three months until November 2024. You can also make a cash donation to support the Thai Red Cross Society via bank transfer under the name of ‘National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society’, at Bangkok Bank’s Head office branch, to current account number 147-3-15388-8. For Bangkok Bank credit card holders, you can redeem your ‘Thank You Rewards’ points for donations, where every 1,000 points are worth 100 baht and every amount donated will receive a double deduction as a tax incentive.
