“Leading blood donation” – Bangkok Bank President Chartsiri Sophonpanich, Executive Vice President Chong Toh and Assistant Vice President, Health Care M.D. Sripetch Kanjanakeerana led executives and staff to donate blood at the 4th and final mobile blood donation of the year. The blood donations were made at Bangkok Bank’s head office in Silom Road and its Rama 3 building. The Bank invited interested participants to join the “8 million cc x 2” activity as part of the “8 million cc for 80 years of Bangkok Bank” which aimed to increase the amount of blood reserves for the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society. On the day of collection 424 donors joined the blood donation, with total blood donations of 148,400 cc.
Bangkok Bank as a “trusted partner and reliable close friend” recognizes the importance of increasing blood reserves for the Thai Red Cross Society, so it has organized mobile blood donation units continuously since 1996. To mark the Bank’s 80th anniversary on December 1, 2024, it organized “8 million cc for 80 years of Bangkok Bank” project to invite Thais to be “givers” and pass on their goodwill to others by making a blood donation. The project was launched in 2023 and as of October 18, 2024, 12,686,800 cc of blood from 31,717 donations had been collected which can help 95,151 patients. To show appreciation to the “givers”, the Bank has provided limited editions of cloth bags to give to donors who complete up to four donations. The names of people entitled to receive a cloth bag can be checked by simply typing 80 แสนซีซี and sending the message to Bangkok Bank LINE Official Account or call 0-2230-2062, 0-2230-2700.
Those interested in the “8 million cc x 2” activity can still donate blood at the National Blood Centre, Thai Red Cross Society's 12 locations nationwide, mobile blood donation units and any provincial hospital which acts as a blood service branch hospital. Simply scan the QR code and fill in your information to ensure your blood will be counted as part of the “8 million cc for 80 years of Bangkok Bank” project until November 30, 2024.
