Standing by Thai society – Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President for Consumer Banking Pochanee Kongkalai (3rd from right), Senior Vice President for the Credit Card Marketing Department Voranuch Siratharanont (2nd from right), Regional Manager 3 Metropolitan Sirikun Chaiyasing (right) and Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital Branch Manager Narisa Laowphanich (2nd row – 4th from right) represented the Bank to hand over a donation of 70,315,053.39 baht (collected from September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024) to Mr. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Professor and Dean Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University (left) on Mahidol Day to help underprivileged patients. This is to follow in the footsteps of “the father of modern Thai medicine” - the Prince Father Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom. The donation came from a co-branded debit and credit card project between Siriraj Hospital and Bangkok Bank that places high importance on helping society or doing a good deed in a tangible way. Customers can become ‘givers’ in two ways:
- Spending via the Be1st Smart TPN Siriraj card or the Bangkok Bank Visa Platinum Siriraj credit card as Bangkok Bank will donate an additional 0.2% of the amount spent by the cardholder in each billing cycle to Siriraj Hospital;
- Applying for a new Be1st Smart TPN Siriraj debit card as Bangkok Bank will donate 100 baht for every new card issued and another 50 baht per card from the annual fee in subsequent years.
As a trusted partner standing alongside Thai society for 80 years, Bangkok Bank joins with Siriraj hospital to continue the co-branded debit and credit card project and consistently make donations. Since 2015, Bangkok Bank has collectively donated more than 548 million baht for a total of 548,579,174.55 baht.
