Sustainable Prosperity – Bangkok Bank as a leading regional bank commits to being “a trusted partner and reliable close friend” growing alongside customers at all levels, people and the country for more than 80 years. Each year Bangkok Bank gives red envelopes to its customers to use when giving blessings to their families and respected people at Chinese New Year. For Chinese New Year 2025, the Year of the Snake, the Bank has prepared “Ang Pao” envelopes depicting the Chinese character “Fu” to convey “happiness, good luck, and fortune” along with the image of a pair of cranes, as Chinese culture believes that cranes are symbolic auspicious animals representing “sustainability”. It’s embossed circular frame uses unique Chinese brush art patterns and a Chinese blessing, “Gong he xin xi”, meaning “Best Wishes for New Year”. A crane and Chinese character pronouncing “Heh”, which means “sustainability”, is printed on the back of the envelop in the lower right corner. The envelopes are beautifully printed with a special technique called gold hot stamping.
