Bangkok Bank led by Vice President Department Manager - Property Management Department Pornpen Pimviriyakul (3rd from right), Vice President - Office of the President Jirawat Panpiemras (3rd from left), Vice President - Public Relations Department Suwit Indrachalerm (2nd from right), Vice President Manager - Property Project Kritsakorn Luangvilai (2nd from left), and Branch Manager Chief Officer - Tanao Road Leartwit Kosakul (far right) jointly visit Bangkok Bank’s Worachak Branch to monitor the progress of the Solar Rooftop installation project as it serves as a pilot branch for reducing electricity consumption and promoting the use of renewable energy in office buildings. The Bank installed solar panels with a total capacity of 111.54 kWp (kilowatt) and commenced system testing in mid January 2026. During the testing period from January 19 to March 31, 2026, the system generated a total of 28,123 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity. It is expected to reduce the branch’s annual electricity consumption by more than 100,000 kWh, or over 15% of total electricity usage, and help lower the Bank’s greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 50 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.
Bangkok Bank’s Worachak Branch represents a key model for efficient and environmentally friendly energy management in office buildings, supporting an increasing use of clean energy, cost reduction, and long-term preparedness for energy challenges. The initiative also demonstrates the Bank’s tangible commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions at the organizational level. At the same time, Bangkok Bank continues to promote Bualuang Green Financing, supporting businesses in their transition toward environmental sustainability and encouraging customers to adopt clean energy solutions—reinforcing the Bank’s role as “a trusted partner and reliable close friend” that cares for society in all dimensions.
