Pay Like a Local – Bangkok Bank, a “leading regional bank” led by Senior Vice President, Credit Card Division Manager Ms. Duangkamon Phunkaew, Vice President Metropolitan Region 1 Manager Ms. Tassawan Chansai, and Senior Vice President, Credit Card Division Ms. Sudrutai Thongsong welcomed Bank of Thailand Senior Director, Payment Systems and Financial Technology Policy Department Mr. Naphongthawat Phothikit, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Executive Director of the East Asia Region Mrs. Sirigesanong Trirattanasongpol and Director, Bangkok Office Mrs. Sirinat Chatsuphakul, to the Bangkok Bank booth at the Cross-Border QR Payment Tourism Campaign Merchant Activation Roadshow 2026 at Asiatique The Riverfront, Bangkok. The event aimed to promote and encourage the use of Cross-Border QR Payment services under the concept of “Pay Like a Local” while inviting Thai merchants to sign up for Bangkok Bank's Cross-Border QR Payment service. The service supports payments from tourists from nine countries: China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Hong Kong, Lao PDR, and Cambodia. The roadshow will continue in other major tourist destinations across Thailand to further enhance the convenience and security of payments for international visitors, while creating more business opportunities and helping Thai entrepreneurs expand their customer base.
