Mutual Fund Accounts

You can view mutual fund account statements, transaction details and make transaction (buying/selling /switching) orders via Bualuang iBanking for your open-end funds (unit holder numbers starting with 888) and tax-advantageous funds (unit holder numbers starting with 889) such as Bualuang Retirement Mutual Funds (RMF) and Bualuang Long-term Mutual Funds (LTF).

1. How do I view my mutual fund accounts statement and transaction details?
    You can use Bualuang iBanking to view an account statement and transaction details for all your mutual funds by following these instructions:

    1.1) Go to the My Accounts page, select “Unit Holder Number” as shown in your Mutual Fund Accounts list. At the Investments page read “Disclaimer”. After accepting the disclaimer, your mutual fund account information will be displayed.

    1.2) Select other Unit Holder Numbers to view account information for your other registered mutual funds (if any).

    1.3) In the Mutual Fund Accounts page, select “Mutual Fund Account’s Name”. The system will show your most recent 15 mutual fund account transactions. You will find transactions backdated from the beginning of your investment. You can select date range as needed in condition that your selected date range could be up to 1 year.

    1.4) Click the “+” sign in front of each mutual fund account transaction to view more details of the transaction.

2. What kind of transaction details can investors view in Mutual Fund Account Statements?

My Risk Profile

1. Why do I need to complete a Personal Risk Profile self-assessment?

    From 1 July 2011 the Capital Market Supervisory Board - Securities and Exchange Commission - requires investors to conduct a Personal Risk Profile self-assessment in order to help them understand their risk tolerance, and identify products appropriate to their level of risk acceptance. Investors will be required to conduct and update their assessment every two years.

2. How is the Personal Risk Profile self-assessment conducted?
    The Personal Risk Profile self-assessment contains two parts.  The first part contains 10 questions, identifying which type of investor you are and what level of risk you can accept.
    The second part contains one question only, identifying your willingness to accept currency risk for investments in mutual funds investing in 20% or more of Net Asset Value in foreign instruments.

3. How do I conduct my Personal Risk Profile self-assessment?
    In the ‘Investments’ page, click the ‘My Risk Profile’ menu.  After entering the ‘My Risk Profile’ page:

    • If you have never completed the risk profile questionnaire before.
      Click ‘Go to Questionnaire’ to conduct your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment or click ‘Do it later, go to My Mutual Funds’ if you wish to conduct your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment at a later stage.

      After completing the Personal Risk Profile self-assessment, click ‘Submit’ and the system will show your risk profile, plus a corresponding investment recommendation.

      If you wish to revise, click ‘Repeat the Questionnaire’.

    • If you have already completed the risk profile questionnaire
      The system will show your risk profile, plus the corresponding investment recommendation. If you wish to revise, click ‘Repeat the Questionnaire’.

    • If your risk profile score has expired (after two years)
       The system will show your risk profile.
       - If you accept your existing risk profile, click ‘Accept Existing Profile’, then click ‘Re-confirm this Profile’
       - If you wish to re-take the questionnaire, click ‘Go to Questionnaire’, then click ’Submit’ after reading it completely.
       - If you do not wish to accept or re-take the questionnaire, click ‘Do it later, go to My Mutual Funds’.

Your risk profile is described as “very high risk”, meaning you prefer the opportunity for higher returns, can accept a high level of risk and are willing to take the risk of significant losses. Funds rated level 8 or lower.

Buy Order

1. How do I buy mutual fund units?

    1) In the Investments page, click the “Buy Order” menu.

    2) The system will check your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment status.

        • If you have never completed the risk profile questionnaire before

           2.1) Click “Go to Questionnaire” to conduct your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment, or click “Do it later, go to My Mutual Funds” if you wish to conduct your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment at a later stage.

           2.2) After completing the Personal Risk Profile self-assessment, click “Submit” and the system will show your risk profile, plus a corresponding investment recommendation.

           2.3) Click “Buy Order” again to make a transaction.

        • If your risk profile score has expired (after two years)
           The system will show your risk profile.

           2.1) If you accept your existing risk profile, click “Accept Existing Profile”.

           2.2) If you wish to re-take the questionnaire, click “Go to Questionnaire”.  After finishing the questionnaire, click “Submit” the system will show your risk profile.  Click “Buy Order” again to make a transaction.

           2.3) If you do not wish to either accept or re-take the questionnaire, click “Do it later, go to My Mutual Funds”.   This will return you back to the main mutual funds page where you can view your funds but will not be able to make any buy or switch transactions until you have updated your risk profile.

    3) When you enter the “Buy Order” page, please select the following details:

        3.1) The fund type and fund name that you would like to buy.

        3.2) The account or credit card from which you would like to deduct the money.
     
               Conditions for online credit card payments:

               • You can use only a Bangkok Bank credit card to pay for Bualuang RMF/LTF (excluding AMEX, corporate cards, purchasing cards and China UnionPay cards).
               • You can make credit card payments for Bualuang RMF/LTF to a maximum of 500,000Bt per fund type per year (including transactions via all channels – branches and Bualuang iBanking).

        3.3) The amount that you would like to buy in Baht.

Some funds have minimum and maximum purchase amounts as shown in the following table:

        3.4) The date to buy. Future dated transactions are not available for the Auto Redemption funds, Buy Orders must be placed between 8.30 am – 4.00 pm on business days only.

        3.5) When making a buy order for an ‘Auto Redemption Fund’, please choose the ‘Redemption Option’ which allows you to redeem funds using the option previously selected when you opened your mutual fund account, or to invest in the Bualuang Thanatavee Fixed Income Fund, an open-ended mutual fund.

        3.6) To set up a recurring “BUY” order, please select the frequency of the buy order from the drop down list.

        3.7) When making a buy order for a Long Term Fund (LTF), please select the “Redemption Instruction” that you wish the asset company to apply in the event of termination to comply with its bylaws or SEC regulations. See below for more details.

        3.8) Fill in the “Personal Reminder” if you would like to record a short message for your buy order.

    4) In the “Buy Order” page, after entering the fund you would like to buy, the screen will show the risk of your selected fund compared to your Personal Risk Profile.

    5) After you click “next”, if the fund you selected to buy has a higher risk level than your Personal Risk Profile, or the fund has exchange rate risk while your Personal Risk Profile shows you have no ability to accept the exchange rate risk, you can click “Accept” to continue making the transaction.

    6) The system will display the “Buy Order-Verification” page for you to continue making your transaction and check the accuracy of your buy order.

    7) Click “Confirm” to verify your buy order or click “Back” if you wish to edit or cancel your buy order.

    8) After you click “Confirm”, a “Buy Order-Confirmation” screen will appear with a reference number which you can print for your records.

    9) The information shown in the Mutual Fund activity page can be used to warrant your auto-redemption investment.  However, if preferred, a passbook may be issued from any branch.

Remark: The SEC may require an asset management company to dissolve an LTF in one of the following events. 
             • The number of unit-holder accounts has fallen below 35
             • The value of investment units which have been sold calculated based on their face value have: 
               - Fallen below 50 million Baht  for five consecutive days after the final day of the second calendar year since the fund was established.
               - Fallen below 50 million Baht on any working day and the asset management company wishes to dissolve the fund after the final day of the second calendar
                 year since the fund was established.
               - Fallen below 30 million Baht on any working day after the final day of the second calendar year since the fund was established.
             • The SEC requires an asset management company to dissolve a fund that has taken or refrained from taking any action which has caused damage to the fund or
            has failed to perform its duty. 
             • The asset management company obtains majority vote from unit-holders of more than half of the investment units sold.


Sell Order

1. How do I sell my mutual fund units?

    1) In the Investments page, click the “Sell Order” menu.

    2) When you enter this page, please select the following details:

        2.1) The fund that you would like to sell.

        2.2) Whether you would like to sell in “Baht” or “Units”.

        2.3) The amount in Baht or number of units you would like to sell.

        2.4) The date to sell.

        2.5) To set up a recurring “SELL” order, please select the frequency of the sell order from a drop down list.

        2.6) For an RMF sell order, please select the “Investment Unit Deduction” from the drop down list and select “Investment Period” to show that you have continuously invested in the RMF for at least 5 years.

Remark: Ministerial regulation number 265, (2008 ), will provide tax exemptions only for unit-holders who sell their RMFs in the following cases. 
             • Investment units which have been invested in before March 1, 2008 can be sold when they have been continuously invested in for at least 5 years. (The 5 years is complete on the anniversary of the exact day and month that it was purchased)
             • Investment units which have been invested in since March 1, 2008 can be sold when they have been continuously invested in for at least 5 years (The 5 years is complete on the anniversary of the exact day and month that it was purchased) and unit-holders are aged 55 years or older.

        2.7) Fill in the “Personal Reminder” if you would like to record a short message for your sell order.

    3) Once these details have been selected, click “Next”. A “Sell Order-Verification” screen will appear or click “Cancel” to cancel your buy order.

    4) Click “Confirm” to verify  your sell order or click “Back” if you wish to edit or cancel your sell order

    5) After you click “Confirm”, a “Sell Order-Confirmation” screen will appear with the reference number which you can print for your records.


Switch Order

A switch order can be used to directly switch your investment units from one fund to another. The terms and conditions for switching vary according to the fund type and are described in the fund prospectus.

1. How do I switch my mutual fund units?

    1) In the Investments page, click the “Switch Order” menu.

    2) The system will check your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment status.

        • If you have never completed the risk profile questionnaire before

           2.1) Click “Go to Questionnaire” to conduct your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment, or click “Do it later, go to My Mutual Funds” if you wish to conduct your Personal Risk Profile self-assessment at a later stage.

           2.2) After completing the Personal Risk Profile self-assessment, click “Submit” and the system will show your risk profile, plus a corresponding investment recommendation.

           2.3) Click “Switch Order” again to make a transaction.

        • If your risk profile score has expired (after two years)
           The system will show your risk profile.

           2.1) If you accept your existing risk profile, click “Accept Existing Profile”.

    3) When you enter the “Switch Order” page, please select the following details:

        3.1) The fund name that you already have an investment in and would like to switch.

        3.2) The fund type and fund name to which you would like to switch (destination fund).

        3.3) The number of units / amount in baht you would like to switch

       • Switching is allowed only from a ‘Bualuang Thanatavee Fixed Income Fund’ and ‘Bualuang Treasury Fund’.
       • If you have already invested in an ‘Auto Redemption Fund’ through a branch or Bualuang iBanking, the next switch will have no minimum limit.
   
        3.4) The date to switch.

        3.5) Fill in a “Personal Reminder” if you would like to record a short message for your switch order.

    4) In the “Switch Order” page, after entering the fund you would like to buy, the screen will show the risk of your selected fund compared to your Personal Risk Profile.

    5) After you click “next”, if the fund you selected to buy has a higher risk level than your Personal Risk Profile, or the fund has exchange rate risk while your Personal Risk Profile shows you have no ability to accept the exchange rate risk, you can click “Accept” to continue making the transaction.

    6) The system will display the “Switch Order-Verification” page for you to continue making your transaction and check the accuracy of your switch order.

    7) Click “Confirm” to verify your switch order or click “Back” if you wish to edit or cancel your switch order.

    8) After you click “Confirm”, a “Switch Order-Confirmation” screen will appear with the reference number which you can print for your records.


History

1. How do I view the history of my Buy, Sell or Switch Orders via Bualuang iBanking?
    On the Investments page click “HISTORY” on the left of your screen. The page will display your transaction history.


Pending

1. How do I view pending Buy, Sell or Switch Orders via Bualuang iBanking?
    On the Investments page, click “PENDING” on the left of your screen. The page will display your pending orders. You can cancel a pending Buy, Sell or Switch Order by clicking “CANCEL” in the pending screen. When the order is cancelled, confirmation of your cancellation will be shown.


Pre-Redemption Service

1. How do I apply for Pre-Redemption Service?

    1) In the Investments page, click the “Pre-Redemption Service” menu.

    2) Fill in the information below:

        2.1) Sell Mutual Fund

        2.2) Amount (maximum 10,000,000Bt)

        2.3) Starting month and year of the Pre-Redemption Service (The transaction will be processed on the last business day of the month you choose)

        2.4) The month and year you wish the Pre-Redemption Service to end

    3) Click “Next” to apply for Pre-Redemption Service; the system will display the “Verification” page for you to review your transaction or click “Cancel” if you wish to cancel your transaction.

    4) Click “Confirm” to verify your Pre-Redemption Service registration or click “Back” if you wish to edit or cancel.

    5) After you click “Confirm”, the system will proceed with your Pre-Redemption Service registration which you can print for your records.

2. How can I cancel or edit the information on Pre-Redemption Service?

    1) In the Investments page, click the “Pre-Redemption Service” menu.

    2) Click “Pre-Redemption Service Application List” and choose the information you would like to change or cancel.

    3) In the “Apply for Pre-Redemption Service – Detail” page, you can choose to “Cancel Order”, or “Change Information”:

        3.1) Amount (maximum 10,000,000Bt)

        3.2) Starting month and year of the Pre-Redemption Service (The transaction will be processed on the last business day of the month you choose)

        3.3) The month and year you wish the Pre-Redemption Service to end

    4) Click “Next” to change your Pre-Redemption Service information; the system will display the “Verification” page for you to review your transaction.

    5) Click “Confirm” to verify your Pre-Redemption Service information or click “Back” if you wish to edit again.

    6) After you click “Confirm”, the system will change your Pre-Redemption Service information which you can print for your records.

Notes:

  • You can register, cancel or change your information in the Pre-Redemption Service every day during 7.00 am – 10.00 pm except the last business day of the month when the system will accept the last order at 4.00 pm and then close until 7.00 am on the first business day of the next month.
  • Your registration, changes or cancelation will take immediate effect as the system will process it using the NAV from the last business day of the month when you made the transaction.
  • In the event that the amount of money you input for the pre-redemption order calculated into units is more than the units you have in your account, the system will sell units equivalent to the amount in your account.
  • BBLAM will send an SMS to notify you 3 months and 1 month in advance before the balance in your fund registered with pre-redemption, reaches zero; the SMS will be sent to the mobile phone number that you registered at the branch. If you would like to register or change your mobile phone number, please contact a Bangkok Bank branch.

 

Mutual Fund Document Service

1. What is Mutual Fund Document Service?

It is a convenient service for customers who invest in Bualuang Retirement Mutual Funds (RMF) and Bualuang Long-Term Mutual Funds (LTF). They can download Mutual Fund Documents by themselves via Bualuang iBanking as follows:

• Certificate of RMF/LTF Purchase
• Certificate of RMF/LTF Redemption
• Withholding Tax Certificate for RMF/LTF Redemption 

2. How can I download documents?

    1) On the Investment page, click the “Mutual Fund Document Service” menu.

    2) When you are on the Mutual Fund Document Service page, please select the service

        2.1) Download the Certificate of RMF/LTF Purchase and fill in the information below:
               2.1.1) “Unit Holder Number”
               2.1.2) “Year”
        2.2) Download the Certificate of Transaction which is the Certificate of RMF/LTF Redemption and Withholding Tax Certificate for RMF/LTF Redemption and fill in the information below:
               2.2.1) "Mutual Fund Account"  
               2.2.2) "Transaction Type"              
               2.2.3) "Start Date” and “End Date”

    3) When you click "Confirm", the system will display the information for downloading, or you can click “Cancel” to edit or cancel the transaction.
