Transferring within Thailand

  • Internet and Bualuanh mBanking real-time transfers to your own accounts, to other third-party Bangkok Bank accounts, or accounts at other banks in Thailand.
  • ATM Money Transfers  real-time transfers of up to 500,000Bt daily (transfer limits vary by card type.)
  • Cash Deposit Machines  real-time cash deposits to Bangkok Bank or other banks of up to 100,000Bt per transaction.
  • High Value Transfers  same-day transfers of large sums to any Thai bank.
  • Direct Debit arrange to pay recurring bills on the payment due date.
  • Standing Order Service  schedule regular transfers for set amounts.
  • Interbank Transfer Service  counter service to transfer money from your Bangkok Bank account to other Thai banks.

Transferring out of Thailand

Through over 2,000 partner banks globally and our extensive international branch network, your funds will be sent quickly and efficiently to their destination at a competitive rate.

The usual way to send funds abroad is via SWIFT, also referred to as a telegraphic transfer. With SWIFT transfers, your funds will be deposited directly into the recipient’s account quickly and efficiently. If you regularly send funds overseas and would like to make a transaction at your convenience via Bangkok Bank’s internet banking service, please sign up for our International Funds Transfer Service via Bualuang iBanking.

You may consider sending money abroad to friends and family overseas using a bank draft. You can buy a draft at any Bangkok Bank branch offering remittance services, and then post it to your recipient. This option does take longer and most drafts take time to clear before the recipient can take receipt of the funds.

Even if you do not have a bank account, you can use Bangkok Bank's Western Union Money Transfer Service to send or receive funds within minutes. The service is available at the bank's branches and exchange booths throughout Thailand.

Transferring into Thailand

Funds from abroad will be quickly deposited directly into your Bangkok Bank account. Funds can be sent via SWIFT (telegraphic transfer) using Bangkok Bank’s SWIFT code BKKBTHBK, or take advantage of the special services we offer in selected countries.

  • From the USA – save on fees, get better exchange rates and receive funds faster by arranging transfers (including pension or Paypal payments) via the New York branch.
  • From the UK – If you are currently receiving payments such as pensions, annuities or payroll from UK government agencies or private organizations, you can save on fees and enjoy more convenient transfers by arranging for your payments to be deposited directly into your account at Bangkok Bank in Thailand via Bangkok Bank's London branch.
  • From Japan – save on fees by arranging transfers via Bangkok Bank’s Tokyo or Osaka branches, or via Japan Post or Japan Post Bank.
  • From Israel and South Korea – both sender and recipient will save on fees when transferring funds via the local post office.
  • From Switzerland – save on fees by arranging transfers via Swiss Post to recipients' accounts with Bangkok Bank or other banks in Thailand
