Bangkok Bank Private Bank recently hosted an exclusive seminar titled “Bangkok Bank Private Bank Family Legacy & Generational Wealth”, reinforcing the expertise of its family wealth solution service, especially in the dimension of family asset management and planning the intergenerational transfer of legacy. This approach ensures that present success can be sustained and carried forward for generations to come which reflected the concept “There’s More to Your Legacy”

The seminar aimed to broaden new perspectives on “legacy” and covered the transfer of family values, mutual understanding and family bond, the essential elements forming the foundation of long-term legacy creation and preservation.

The seminar content was structured into two key sessions. It began with the topic “The Three Pillars: Intergenerational Legacy Planning, Estate Structuring, and Strategic Giving” was delivered by Dr. Sathit Pongthanya, Senior Vice President, Head of Family Wealth Solution, Wealth & Private Bank at Bangkok Bank, together with Mr. Watcharachai Swasdichai, Vice President, Wealth & Private Bank at Bangkok Bank. Both speakers shared their intensive expertise supported by case studies on designing family wealth and legacy planning structures tailored to legal considerations and the unique needs of each family.

The seminar continued with the second session, “From Assets to Relationships: The Psychology of Legacy Transfer Across Generations,” delivered by Dr. Trynh Phoraksa, Assistant to the Dean (Academic Services) and Lecturer, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Mahidol University. The session offered insightful perspectives on the meaning of “legacy” from a family psychology perspective, indicating that legacy transfer involves not only assets but also emotions, expectations, and generational differences within the family. The session also proposed effective communication approaches to foster mutual understanding, reduce potential conflicts, and strengthen long-term family relationships.
