Bangkok Bank collaborated with Forth Smart Service Public Company Limited (FSMART), an automatic service channel provider for financial services under the trademark of “Boonterm” which serves as the Bank’s banking agent, to expand the Be My ID service for Bangkok Bank account opening 24 hours a day* via more than 2,000 Boonterm kiosks nationwide. At the end of 2022, more than 95,234 Boonterm kiosks nationwide** were able to accept cash deposits into a Bangkok Bank account. The service received good feedback from customers for being convenient, easy, safe and flexible as the service is available 24 hours a day and deposits can be made from 100 – 5,000 baht per transaction with a maximum of 40,000 baht per day per depositor (subject to transaction fees specified by the Bank).
The Be My ID identity verification service can be done easily. New customers wishing to open an e-Savings account can download the Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking application and follow the account opening instructions. Customers are required to prepare two items namely 1. a smart Citizen ID card and 2. the 7-digit Reference Code from Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking (the code is valid for 48 hours). You can verify your identity at Boonterm kiosks by choosing Identity Verification, and Bangkok Bank Identity Verification, then inputting the 7-digit Reference Code and inserting your Citizen ID card at the Boonterm kiosk. Once complete, the screen will indicate the identity verification is successful. Thereafter, customers can log back into Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking to complete the account opening. The e-Savings account will be successfully opened without needing in-person service from staff.
Customers who apply for the Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking app, open an e-Savings account and make any two financial transactions including deposit, withdrawal, transfer, top-up or payment within seven days after the account opening will get a 100-baht Shopee discount code from today – April 30, 2024.
