Information required when sending funds abroad

To transfer funds overseas, you will need the following information:


  • The recipient’s account name, account number and address
  • The name and address of the recipient’s bank
  • The SWIFT address of the bank in which they have an account or other bank code numbers, such as BSB Number when transferring funds to Australia in AUD and IFSC Code when transferring funds to India in INR

Except for a fund transfer made in Japanese yen (JPY), which has a fee of 2,400 baht per transaction (reduced from a minimum fee of 2,500 baht per transaction), or in Hong Kong dollars (HKD), which has a fee of 1,350 baht per transaction (normal price).

*Recipients may not receive the full amount of funds if foreign banks charge additional fees.

  • Thai nationals and foreigners who use Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking can make an overseas transfer without applying for the service and registering recipients in advance.
  • You can make an overseas transfer during 08:30 a.m.-05:00 p.m. on the Bank’s business days.
  • The maximum transfer limit is 2,000,000 baht per transaction per day (This is a combined limit for international funds transfers made via Bualuang iBanking, PromptPay International and Western Union).
  • Bangkok Bank will apply its “Selling Rate - TT” at the time you confirm the transaction.
  • The international funds transfers service complies with official from the Bank of Thailand, AMLO Office and the Bank may require additional information from you.

    Yes, you can and you do not have to register for the service again. Simply log on to Bualuang iBanking and make a transfer.

    For your first transaction via Bualuang iBanking, the Bank will send an OTP to the mobile phone number you have registered with Bualuang iBanking to confirm the transaction.

Fees rate varies depend on the currency withdrawn i.e.

  • 0.25% of withdrawal amount for USD
  • 0.50% of withdrawal amount for EUR, GBP, JPY
  • 0.75% of withdrawal amount for AUD, CAD, CHF, HKD, NOK, SEK, NZD, DKK
  • 1.25% of withdrawal amount for SGD

(with minimum fee of 500 baht)

 

For Special Savings FCD, withdrawal fees (commission in lieu of exchange) are waived if withdrawing money from the account and then transferring funds overseas or to purchase a draft. The bank will only charge service fees for the overseas funds transfer or draft purchase fee.

  • Thai nationals and foreigners who use Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking can make an overseas transfer without applying for the service and registering recipients in advance.
  • You can make an overseas transfer during 08:30 a.m. - 05:00 p.m. on the Bank’s business days.
  • You can choose to transfer in 13 currencies from your FCD account depending on the currencies you choose. (not available for MYR IDR and CNY)
  • Bangkok Bank will debit your FCD account, If fees or other expenses are in Thai baht, the Bank will convert baht to the same currency as your FCD account using Buying TT Rates.
  • The maximum transfer limit is 2,000,000 baht per transaction per day (This is a combined limit for international funds transfers made via Bualuang iBanking, PromptPay International and Western Union).
  • The international funds transfer service complies with requirements from the Bank of Thailand, AMLO Office and the Bank may require additional information from you.
