How to stay SAFE online

For your own safety in making transactions on devices such as mobile phone, smartphone, tablet or PC we recommend you some tips.

Software – should be legitimate and updated

Anti-virus – use real anti-virus program

Familiar – if something looks strange or unusual – don’t proceed – phone the call center and check with our staff 

Emails and SMS – read them carefully

Be aware of... Fake App
  • Don’t download or install Bualuang mBanking or other applications from sources other than the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Windows Phone Store.
Secure… Your Password
  • For a Mobile PIN, do not choose numeric sequences, repeating numbers, or a number which can be easily guessed such as an ID card number, credit card number, vehicle registration number or date of birth
  • For a Password, do not choose numeric sequences, repeating numbers, or a number which can be easily guessed such as an ID card number, credit card number, vehicle registration number, date of birth, name and last name or nickname. If your Password is all in English characters, it should include both lower case letters and capital letters.
  • Your Mobile PIN and Password can be changed as often as you like.
Be careful… before entering info
  • Do not click the URL link in suspicious SMS, MMS, Email or Pop-up.
  • Do not enter any personal information if you get an SMS, MMS or Email claiming to be from Bangkok Bank. Bangkok Bank will never send an SMS, MMS or emails requesting you to download or install any software or application to make a transaction with us or introduce any pop-up asking for your personal information. Therefore, if you receive this kind of SMS, MMS or emails, or have clicked any link to download suspicious software or application, or see any unfamiliar/irregular screen, please immediately stop any transactions and contact Bualuang Phone 1333 or (66) 0 2645 5555. Our service is available 24/7.
Other tips
  • Avoid making financial transactions when connecting using public Wi-Fi, make a transaction on a secure network/Wi-Fi only. 
  • Do not make transactions using any device with jail-broken (iOS) or rooted (Android) operating systems.
  • Do not install anti-virus applications onto your mobile phone, smartphone or tablet, especially those you use for online transactions.
  • Set up a password to lock your mobile phone/other devices and be especially cautious when entering those codes in public areas.
  • Before you sell your device or send it in for fixing make sure to delete the Bualuang mBanking APP from the device for your security.
  • If you lose your mobile phone, please immediately contact Bualuang Phone at 1333 or  (66) 0 2645 5555 to temporarily suspend the service.
  • If you change the mobile phone number that you registered with Bualuang mBanking, please contact a Bangkok Bank branch to update your information
  • Bangkok Bank will notify you of every transaction, including fund transfers and bill payments. The notification will be sent to the email address that you first registered with Bualuang mBanking. If you did not make the transaction, please immediately contact Bualuang Phone at 1333 or (66) 0 2645 5555. Our service is available 24/7
