Coverage and Benefits

The premiums of basic insurance policy for a juvenile will be waived in the event that the premium payer dies before the age of 80 or is first diagnosed and/or confirmed by a medical practitioner to be suffering from a critical illness covered by this rider before the juvenile reaches the age of 25.

Once the premiums of the basic policy are waived, other riders attached to this policy (if any) will still be in force as long as premium payments on these riders continue.

Critical Illnesses Covered by AIA PBCI Rider
Waiting Period
This rider will not cover any critical illness or disorders confirmed by a medical practitioner occurring within 60 days following the date on which this contract is issued or reinstated, whichever is later.
Some Exclusions of AIA PBCI Rider
  1. This rider consists of a waiting period according to the conditions stipulated therein.
  2. Critical illness disorders confirmed by a medical practitioner before the date this contract is issued or reinstated, whichever is later, will not be covered, excluding those which the premium payer. has declared to the Company and which the Company has accepted the risks.
  3. Suicide, self-inflicted injury or an attempt to take such action.
  4. Critical illnesses resulting from HIV positive infections or conditions of AIDS.
  5. Injuries caused by the premium payer while under the influence of alcohol, addictive substances, or narcotic drugs that impair the Insured’s mental faculties.
  • Insurable age of juvenile covered: 1 month - 15 years
  • Insurable age of the premium payer: 20-70 years
  • Coverage period: Until the basic plan has reached the end of premium payment or until the Insured reaches the age of 25, or until the premium payer reaches the age of 80, whichever is earlier
